At Rocky River Church, we realize that our children are so important. They are gifts from God! So we value our children and have created environments that best fit their needs based on their ages. We have 4 different areas for children on Sunday Mornings and we have an exciting Wednesday Night environment as well!
Nursery: (6 weeks-2 year olds.)
Our Nursery is staffed with some of the sweetest people. All our volunteers are background checked and trained to create a safe environment for your young one. We understand that this age is so precious so while you are learning about God in the main service, we want to show the love of Jesus to your sweet babies.
CreekKidz: (Potty Trained - 5 years old.)
We understand that toddlers and preschoolers are a rambunctious group full of love and energy. Once checked in, we have a space specifically designed with them in mind. In CreekKidz, they will have a chance to play and build friendships, while eating a yummy snack of goldfish. Once all our friends arrive we move to a time of worship and we watch the lesson of the week. We understand that these are formidable years and we do not want to waste them. We do our best to teach your child biblical truths that are easy for them to understand. After our story time we will do an activity or a craft that goes along with our lesson of the week. Then we continue playing until our friends are picked up.
Riverkidz: (Kindergartners- 5th Grade)
In Riverkidz, we want to make kids feel empowered to live their faith out loud. After being Checked in, our elementary students will go with their parents to participate in worship. We feel it is important for our children to be able to learn how to worship Jesus in a congregation at an early age. After, the music is done and before the message, children are dismissed to come to Riverkidz. They will come in to the RiverKidz room where we have a fun day planned with them in mind. We do a fun worship song together, then we have a lesson that is more on their level. We use Grow Curriculum. With Grow, your child will go through the Old Testament every 3 years and the New Testament every year. We are passionate about your child learning biblical truths! After our large group time where we hear the message, we move to small groups. We split based on grade level because we know there is a big difference between a Kindergarten ardner and a 5th grader. In these small groups, they have activities where they will create, discover, play, or think about the lesson. After Small group time, we will come back together for a large group game while parents come and pick up their children after service.
The Brook - Wednesday Night: (4 year olds-5th grade)
Join us every Wednesday night for The Brook, a fun and faith-filled evening just for kids! Each week, we dive into God’s Word through praise and worship, exciting games, interactive Bible lessons, and creative crafts — all centered around a Bible story.
At The Brook, children will grow in their faith, make lasting friendships, and discover how God’s Word comes alive in their everyday lives.
Don’t forget to bring your Bible, invite a friend, and memorize our weekly Bible verse for a chance to share it during group time!

All of our volunteers are educated and equipped for the area that they are serving. We also require all volunteers to be members in good standing and to pass a background check annually. We hope your child will be comfortable and have fun in our safe, clean and exciting environments that are designed with them in mind.
