Worship Team
The worship team is responsible for creating a worship experience on Sunday morning that helps people encounter Jesus and opens an opportunity for the Gospel of Jesus to be heard and received in the hearts and minds of those who are seeking the truth. They are also responsible for setting up and tearing down their instruments and equipment in a professional manner. They will dedicate time to learn and practice songs in preparation for Sunday services.
Audio-Video Team
The Audio Video Team is responsible for maintaining and providing quality audio & video for events and services at Rocky River Church. This team's primary role is to work with the worship team to create a worship experience on Sunday morning that helps people encounter Jesus and opens an opportunity for the Gospel of Jesus to be heard and received in the hearts and minds of those who are seeking the truth. The Audio Video team is more than just pushing buttons. They help achieve a balance of sound in the sanctuary. They are also responsible for setting up and tearing down sound equipment at events.
Hospitality Team
The Hospitality team is a very important part of Rocky River Church! This team includes our greeters, ushers, information table, and refreshment area. They specialize in helping people feel like they belong at Rocky River Church from the moment they walk through our doors. By offering a warm smile, helping someone find a seat, or being the welcoming face that a guest sees when they enter the building; this team sets the first impression for our guests. They also help during events that may require hospitality services.
Parking Team
The Parking Team is responsible for making the first impression to new guests at Rocky River Church. This means that you are on the front lines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! On this team you will direct traffic and parking on Sunday Mornings and for any events. This team also sets up parking areas with signage and helps with the flow of traffic as we grow.
Children's Ministry
Our Children Teams consist of CreekKidz (infant to age 5) and RiverKidz (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) and are responsible for providing children with a safe and comfortable environment while their parents/guardians attend regular services. The team teaches the Bible in a creative, age-appropriate way while building relationships with adult volunteers and peers. No teaching experience is required to serve on this team; just a desire to work with and inspire our kids.
Flood Student Ministry
The Flood Student Ministry is responsible for providing middle and high school students with a safe and comfortable environment during our Middle School Sunday Service and Wednesday Night Flood Group. The Flood Student Ministry exists to make disciples who are growing closer to God and each other in real, lasting relationships rooted in God’s Word. The team provides activities and lessons that help our students to come to know Jesus and grow in a relationship with God.
Security Team
The Security team works together to create a safe place at the church. They help coordinate with the officer on Sunday Morning. They help do perimeter checks and watch out for any suspicious activity. They help deter any person that wishes to cause harm to anyone at church. This team helps on Sundays and during events when necessary.
Medical Team
The Medical team is responsible for providing assistance in the case of a medical emergency. This team coordinates closely with the security team and first responders to help anyone attending Rocky River Church on Sunday or during events. They provide first aid during these times.
Social Media Team
The Social Media Team is responsible for curating our social media platforms and helping create content for those platforms. This team is a group of digital storytellers that are helping to capture and share the story of what God is doing at Rocky River Church. They are required to maintain a schedule of posts and to take pictures and videos at services and events. They also help with recording for the service and posting those services online.
Note Card Team
The Note Card Team is responsible for praying over the needs of individuals attending Rocky River Church and sending notes of encouragement to those in need or who are ill.
Prayer and Care Team
Nothing in the Kingdom of God is done without prayer. The Prayer Team is a huge part of Rocky River Church. This team is responsible for praying over all the different ministries of Rocky River Church and known needs. They pray both together as a group but also individually. Our prayer team is a group of people that partner, encourage, and celebrate together. They assist with offering Communion. The members coordinate care, prayer, and pastoral support for people in need-creating a culture of compassion and spiritual covering.
Facilities Team
The Facilities team is responsible for maintaining the building and all the inside parts. This team takes pride in the inner appearance of Rocky River Church from helping coordinate basic upkeep of the building to more extensive repairs where vendors might be necessary. The facilities team helps coordinate with vendors and comes up with repair plans if necessary. They make sure that our building is Sunday ready by checking that the building was cleaned, prepared, and ready for Sunday services and or events.
Grounds Team
The Grounds Team is responsible for maintaining the landscape and parking lots. This team takes pride in the outer appearance of Rocky River Church. They help coordinate lawn care to make sure there are no dead flowers/vegetation. They make sure that our parking lots and sidewalks are Sunday ready by making sure that they are free of bird poop, debris or ice during winter.
